Commonly used to refine pores, rejuvenate skin, remove hair, and reduce the appearance of deep vascular lesions, the Long-Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser is a safe and effective treatment that utilises a near-infrared wavelength to penetrate deep into the skin. The deep dermis is targeted with photothermal energy to stimulate collagen around each pore, reducing pore size and oil secretion. Skin texture is visibly refined and radiance is restored.

Safe for all skin types, the Long-Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser can be used to target hair follicles for permanent hair removal. The laser can also be used to treat deeper vascular lesions such as broken capillaries and leg veins.

Protective goggles are first put on to protect your eyes from the laser. Using a precise hand-piece, long-pulsed laser energy is delivered safely to the deeper layers of the skin. This energy is able to stimulate collagen and target deep structures such as abnormal blood vessels and hair. In hair removal, the laser targets hair follicles in its active growth phase with no damage to the surrounding skin.

Clients experience a warm sensation during the process. This laser is safe on all skin types, and can be used in most regions of the face and body. The number of treatments needed depend on each individual’s goals.

Clients experience no downtime when the laser is used for skin rejuvenation or to minimise pores. The treated area may be temporarily darkened after the treatment of abnormal blood vessels. Clients should avoid shaving and waxing for two weeks after hair removal. Sunscreen is highly recommended.

Expected Results

A smoother complexion after treatment can be achieved due to firmer skin, minimised pores, and the removal of fine hair. The appearance of uneven skin lesions such as scars and enlarged pores will fade and improve. To maintain the treatment’s results, sunscreen is highly recommended.

When the laser is used for hair removal, some of the treated hair will fall off immediately after laser hair removal, but optimal results may take up to two weeks to appear. As hair grows in different phases, several treatments are necessary to ensure that all hairs in the targeted area are removed.
