Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections are used to create a more refreshed and youthful appearance. By blocking specific chemical signals from the nerves, botulinum toxin can relax wrinkle inducing muscles in the face.

Facial expressions like frowning and smiling can cause lines and wrinkles in the skin. Over time, repeated contraction causes these lines to become fixed and present without expression. Botox injections are highly effective at improving such expression lines. With regular treatment, fixed folds can be dramatically reduced, preventing wrinkles before they form. When injected strategically, botulinum toxin can be used to lift the forehead and jawline. It can also be used to contour the face, resulting in a slimmer and more beautiful jawline profile.

Before the procedure, numbing cream is applied on the treatment area for 20 minutes to maximise your comfort.

This treatment involves having a series of small volume injections using an ultra fine needle to deliver botox just under the skin and into the muscle. The process is extremely comfortable and takes approximately 15 minutes.

Rubbing or massaging the treated area is discouraged for four hours to prevent moving away the toxin from the intended injection point and reducing its effect.

There is no downtime involved and clients may resume normal daily activities immediately after treatment. Minor injection-related side effects such as redness, tenderness, swelling, and bruising, may occur. These will usually subside in a few days.

Expected Results

Wrinkles and expression lines will begin to soften in 48 hours, with maximum results seen after approximately 7-10 days. The longevity of botox’s effects varies with each individual and treatment, but should last up to four months.

As muscle movements return, facial lines and wrinkles will reappear. With repeated botox injections, these lines and wrinkles will appear less severe as the muscles have been trained to relax.
