Ageing causes collagen and elastin to break down, leading to sagging skin and wrinkles. Especially prominent around our eyes, sagging and wrinkled skin can manifest in eye hooding, droopy eyes, dark circles, and fine lines that make us look tired beyond our years.

Eyes by Thermage is an FDA-approved treatment that uses focused radiofrequency technology to tighten and lift skin around the eye area. It can be used on the upper and lower eyelids.

A numbing eyedrop is first applied and a protective contact lens is gently placed in the eye.

Our doctor will place the eye thermage tip onto the eyelid skin and treat the entire upper eyelid pulse by pulse. Multiple pulses are done from the eyebrow to the eyelid margin and around the crow’s feet area. You may feel a sensation of heat during the treatment, but is not uncomfortable.

The treatment takes about 45 minutes to complete, or 90 minutes if you are including your forehead too.

Clients may return to normal activities immediately after the treatment as there is no downtime. Make-up can also be worn immediately, and any redness that appears usually disappears within a few days. Mild aching, tenderness, and swelling in the treated area are occasionally noticed, but generally resolve within a few days.

Expected Results

Clients will experience tighter and smoother skin around the eyes as Thermage treats skin laxity.

Clients can expect to see a contraction in excess eyelid skin, resulting in a reduction in upper eyelid hooding. Lifting of droopy eyebrows, an improvement in crow’s feet, and softening of eyebags can be achieved when treating around the periorbital region and forehead. Only a single treatment is needed to deliver results.
